Our policy on service cancellations and refunds.
Service Cancellation Policy
You may cancel scheduled services with at least 24 hours notice without penalty. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of up to 50% of the scheduled service cost, as we may have already allocated resources and time for your service.
Refund Policy Under New Zealand Consumer Law
As a service provider operating in New Zealand, we comply with the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986. Since our services are performed on-site at your property and involve time, labor, and resources, refunds are handled in accordance with New Zealand consumer protection laws:
- Completed Services: Refunds for completed services are generally not available unless there was a significant failure to meet agreed-upon service standards or breach of the Consumer Guarantees Act. If our service did not meet the agreed standard, we will remedy the situation at no additional cost.
- Prepaid Services: If you have prepaid for services and need to cancel, we will work with you to find a fair solution in accordance with New Zealand consumer law. This may include a partial refund (less any costs already incurred) or credit toward future services.
- Unsatisfactory Service: If you are not satisfied with our service, please contact us within 48 hours of service completion. We will investigate and work to resolve the issue, which may include a return visit at no additional charge, re-performance of the service, or a partial refund depending on the circumstances.
- Weather-Related Cancellations: If services cannot be performed due to adverse weather conditions in New Zealand, you will not be charged, and we will reschedule at a mutually convenient time.
Service Modifications and Rescheduling
If you need to modify or reschedule services, please contact us as soon as possible. We will do our best to accommodate your needs and find a suitable alternative time. Rescheduling requests made with at least 24 hours notice are free of charge.
Dispute Resolution Process
If you have concerns about our services or charges, please contact us directly first. We are committed to resolving any issues fairly and promptly in accordance with New Zealand consumer protection standards. If we cannot resolve a dispute directly, you may contact:
- The New Zealand Commerce Commission for Fair Trading Act matters
- Citizens Advice Bureau for consumer rights information
- Disputes Tribunal for claims under $30,000
Chargeback and Payment Disputes
If you dispute a charge, please contact us first to discuss the matter. We will work with you to resolve payment disputes amicably. Chargebacks through payment processors should only be used as a last resort after attempting to resolve the matter directly with us.
